Fi Oberon has thirty years' experience as a designer/maker, artist and tutor and is widely regarded as an expert in her field and one of the UK’s top needle felting artists. Based in the North of England, she has run courses on a diverse range of crafts from furniture-painting to tile-making from her own studio and on behalf of other organisations. Her felting and fine artwork is displayed at galleries in the midlands and the north of England, including the prestigious Dean Clough Galleries in Halifax. She has written on knitting and crafting for national papers and magazines and run craft centres and galleries. Fi is behind the hugely successful felting kits (Alula's Garden) and is now creating a range of greeting cards featuring tiny felted animals. Her first book, THE NATURAL WORLD OF NEEDLE FELTING (Jacqui Small, 2016) is a step by step guide to creating beautiful felted creatures.
