Theo Moore spent several years teaching reading, writing, maths and social skills to primary school children. Now retired, she lives in Bath surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She spends her days gardening, cooking, reading, playing Mah Jong and writing.
A great lover of books, Theo has been actively involved with the Children's Literary festival of Bath, helping to steward events and nurture a love of reading.
Her children's book THE ALLOTMENTEERS was inspired by her time living in a rented flat that lacked any outdoor space. It was published by Ragged Bear in 2020.
'The story is told simply but with real charm, and its message of the empowering joy of growing things is very effective. A book to nurture genuine interest in gardening (and cooking) among children. Colour illustrations by Sarah Van Dongen make it even more delicious.' Andrea Reece, Books For Keeps
