Her much-lauded classic book THE GENTLE ART OF DOMESTICITY (Hodder, 2007) was a gorgeous celebration of all the domestic arts very much ahead of its time. Since then she has published four inspirational craft books with Pavilion, two books on food and activities in children’s literature with Hodder, and a vintage cake recipe book with Aurum. Her stunning images have been turned into a series of six concept books for children by US publisher Lerner/Millbrook.

HOW TO LOOK AT STAINED GLASS is a fresh, unstuffy A-Z guide to appreciating English stained glass through visual themes from apples to zig zags. Published by Bloomsbury, it covers all the major periods and styles from medieval to modern, Victorian to post-war, eighteenth century to Arts and Crafts, figurative to abstract, and examines the fascinating and evolving iconography of stained glass.
