Biography
Katie Hodgetts FRSA, named the Conduit’s Young Climate Innovator (2023) and a Global Youth Awards Finalist for empowering young people (2018), had mobilised over 80,000 people for climate action by age 23.
Katie founded the Resilience Project age 24 after seeing little psychological and inner-led support on offer for young people in navigating the huge levels of burnout and climate anxiety. Her organisation equips young people with the transformational skills required to navigate the challenges of a changing world, working with over 4,500 youth. She has spoken to over 60,000 people on international stages and sits on IKEA’s Young Global Leaders Board. She has been invited to share her work to audiences that include Heads of State, CEOs and some of the biggest companies in the world.
You can find her at home in the Scottish Highlands, delighting in hill-walking and wild-swimming.
Her first book - ACT REST RESET REPEAT: CREATE CHANGE WITHOUT BURNING OUT - will be published by Watkins on 14th April 2026 - World Earth Day.
Books
Katie’s first book - part memoir, manifesto and guidebook - proposes a new type of changemaking for an anxious generation: one that breaks the cycle of fighting fire with fire and is sustainable for our mental health and sense of identity as well as the planet. Through the transformational eight step programme, Katie empowers readers to navigate a changing world by building up resilience through rest, community, connection and celebration.
ACT REST RESET REPEAT: CREATE CHANGE WITHOUT BURNOUT OUT will be published by Watkins on 14th April 2026 - World Earth Day. It is available to pre-order now.
